To honor Atari's amazing 50th Anniversary this week, I decided to write a new poem. This one's inspired by #Atari and a lifetime of fun, amusement & great times. These were all produced by Atari's amazing home gaming consoles, 8-bit computer lines & arcade games which are dotted throughout our lives and memories. This poem was written on 6/30/22, in honor of Atari's wonderful, glorious 50 years of entertainment this week. Thanks, Atari! And here's to the next 50!
The past week, I've uploaded 3 new videos on my #vintagegaming #YouTube channel. BCB #47 - The Future of Gaming (with my nephew Damian), No Filter #34 - Nintendo Switch OLED w/ Namco Museum: Arcade Pac & Unbox'd #16 - Homecoming! See screenshots below... watch, like & subscribe! Thank you
Hey guys! Long time no hear. Just returned back home from our annual 'family trip' to see my big Sis Nick and her fam out in SoCal near L.A. It was such an amazing time! Not only did my baby sis Kris get us a super swank nice 'honeymoon suite' room right off the beach (which was fabulous, old-world beach condo), but we took our Mama to Catalina Island for her 69th birthday on April 22nd.
On April 21, I visited my big Sis in Socal along with my TX family. We met up and took Mom (for her 69th birthday) to Catalina Island on the Catalina Flyer ship. The waves got pretty brutal going over on Friday, 4/22, and it made me re-evaluate my life & my new choices, and how I can now stand in my own power. This poem was written in 'real time' on 4/23/22 @ 9:49 AM PST
So, what have I been up to lately? Quite a bit, and not quite. Read on... 🙂 #journal #life #singlelife #gaming
This past week, I've released three new episodes to my #vintagegaming #youtube channel! "BCB #24" was a #newyearseve special released where I talk about my favorite 5 or 6 vintage gaming consoles & purchases of 2021. In "No Filter #15," I play 'Yoshi's Woolly World' on the Wii U. It's an underrated classic in my... Continue Reading →
Remember when 2021 held such promise? After an extremely bleak 2020 filled with deaths of loved ones and mass confusion the world over, 2021 seemed like a shining diamond on the parched horizons. Did 2021 live up to my expectations? No. Nothing does. With the global pandemic still burning, it's been yet another rough year... Continue Reading →
It's that time of the year again. Since 2004, I've written this poem annually to do a check on the state of affairs of myself during the holiday season. Here's this year's version. It's "Wintertide XVII" from my poetry book for Oct-Dec 2021, 'Earthly Delights in a Closed Type Universe.' Have a wonderful holiday! -BB... Continue Reading →
My Christmas Wish this year is for the world to continually strive to be a better place. My wish is for people to get along, regardless of their political or religious beliefs (or otherwise). My wish is for everything to stop being so political, life's too short. My wish is for everyone to get their... Continue Reading →
I know this will sound cheeseball to some, so please feel free to skip to the end and have an awesome holiday! So... I thought about writing this up a few weeks back and for some reason, I put the thought away since that post was more of a 'wish list,' but not the kind... Continue Reading →
