03.15.26 “Shining Seriously” (Poem)

“Shining Seriously” by Brian Bolding

Walking marching waking up

To a world so full of chaos

Your smiling face leaves

An everlasting grace

The sheets you sleep in

Becomes the womb I weep in

Walking like ghosts

Leaving no trace

Kissing you softly

All over your muddy face

Broken inside

And hardly broken in

Withering and wilting in

Las Vegas sin

Creeping back to reality

Under your wing

With you in my life

I can do almost anything

Running away blindly

Into the scarlet night

Leaving behind a million stories

In a city that took my light

You knocked down the door

And kicked in the latch

With your evil genius mind

You’re the perfect catch.
