The following poem was written on March 1, 2013 and appeared in my personal poetry book “Monsoony” (Sep 12-Mar 13)

standing on a snowy hill
looking over the universe
or Albuquerque, if you will;
and I’m feeling a little damaged
but its suddenly okay
because i remember
its simply my life’s path and
tomorrow will be better than today
sitting on a grassy hill
being mysteriously smug
and cosmically still;
and I’m feeling a little destructive
(come on, say something constructive)
but its suddenly okay
because i know
life is but a journey and
tomorrow will be better than today
jumping off a jagged hill
looking like a comet across the sky
or like literary fodder overkill;
and I’m feeling a little deranged.
