08.07.26 / BCB Storytime #5 – ‘Sweet Pea, Ch 5: Running from the Ghost of Meoma Bea” (BCB’s Novel)

On this episode of BCB Storytime, Bradley already knows his beloved grandmother isn’t long for this world, because a spirit named Benjamin told him so. Benjamin came to 9 year old Bradley last year, most memorably, during National Pac Man Day in 1982, when Bradley first receives his most anticipated game, Pac Man for the Atari 2600! Sadly, as events unfold, Bradley begins to understand the spiritual connection to Benjamin, his grandmother Beatrice (who the family affectionally call Meoma Bea) and everyone else around them. Will Bradley sink into gaming & avoid these impulses and thoughts or embrace it to attempt to save his grandmother?

Fri 8/7 on BCB! #Storytime continues with chapter 5 of my semi autobiographical novel set in the #80s , SweetPea. In “Running from the Ghost of Meoma Bea,” 9 year old Bradley’s grandmother comes to stay with the family after an illness as his odd visions continue. What is the song “Africa” trying to tell him? And what does a dead boy from the mid 70’s named Benjamin have to do with anything? Can #gaming save him this time? Stay tuned. 6p PT/9p ET. Don’t miss the season finale. ☕️
