Sometimes you’ve got to look
Look for the silver linings
They’re hiding, in between the dark turbulent skies
And the near yet distant slightly muffled cries
Sometimes you’ve got to look
Look for the silver linings
Even when you can’t go on, sometimes it’s hard
The dark times in life catches you off guard
Sometimes you’ve got to look
Look for the silver linings
They’re everywhere, you’ve just got to see
It’s how you look at things, it’s how you look at me
Sometimes you’ve got to look
Look for the silver linings
Even in the darkest nights and the darkest days
It can really lift your spirit, and in so many ways.

A silver lining, for me, is accepting who I am and understanding that who I am is who I can expect to be now and forever. It isn’t that I can’t or won’t change. I see future change as part of the now-me. Change is built into who we are whether we like it or not. My silver lining is understanding that I’m a simple person, in all my bitter complexity.

That’s awesome! I feel the same but I’m still a complex person, in all my bitter complexity lol 🙂 Just much more clarity now and self awareness!
