When Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration was anounced by Atari on June 29, 2022, I was doubtful that the game would be anything substantial. This isn't because I felt Digital Eclipse could not deliver, but, rather, I didn't know Digital Eclipse's reputation for pumping out some amazing games...
On launch day, I did an 'exclusive first look' of #Atari50: The Anniversary Celebration," by #DigitalEclipse. It's touted as one of the most complete collections to date of #Atari ephemera, #videogames & the history of the company, all in one single package. I played my #NintendoSwitch 'Steelbook' special edition copy for the first time and gave my immediate input and comments on NO FILTER HD, my series where I play games on launch day & give feedback. To honor Atari's amazing 50th Anniversary this week, I decided to write a new poem. This one's inspired by #Atari and a lifetime of fun, amusement & great times. These were all produced by Atari's amazing home gaming consoles, 8-bit computer lines & arcade games which are dotted throughout our lives and memories. This poem was written on 6/30/22, in honor of Atari's wonderful, glorious 50 years of entertainment this week. Thanks, Atari! And here's to the next 50!
