Over the Fourth of July weekend, I began a new feature for my #vintagegaming #YouTube channel, #Atari Newsline! Atari Newsline is a new weekly news feature for Atari news, Atari books and magazines, information about content creators, the new #AtariVCS, new Atari focused YouTube content, new Atari games, new Atari homebrew games, books and podcasts featuring Atari, and much, much more! I’m also changing my entire YouTube channel over into creating just content that (mostly) features Atari! Read on to find out why and watch my first introductory episode of Atari Newsline!
I decided to make my YouTube page just mostly about Atari, since it is my true passion in gaming and I know quite a bit about Atari, compared to other gaming systems. I also listening to a video from my YouTube friend, ‘PK in the Universe,’ who implored us content creators to really soul search and do what we love most – to also make content that we’re passionate about. Upon thinking about this the other night, I realized, and the light bulb went off in my head… there aren’t enough people making Atari content as it is, so why not throw my hat in the ring and do the same? With my extensive background in journalism, writing and English, I feel that this would actually be a great fit for me – to create a new venue for Atari news, information and yet another place for ‘Atari fanatics’ to go to in order to get their news. I’m not competing with my fellow other Atari-focused YouTubers. In fact, there are so few of us that I can count them on one hand, and I personally know them all online. The more the merrier, I feel! I also sat on Brutally Honest Gamer’s panel for the Atari 50th Anniversary Extravaganza, and it was great. That also spurred my mind to begin thinking about all of this, as well.
